Johns Creek High School Overview

Johns Creek High School (JCHS) is a public school in the Fulton County School System located in Johns Creek, Georgia. Established in 2009, this highschool services about 2,000 students in Johns Creek and a small section of Alpharetta. Johns Creek High School is known as the Gladiators and features white, vegas gold, and cardinal school colors. Autrey Middle Middle School is the only middle school in Fulton County Schools that serves as a feeder school into Johns Creek High School.

JCHS has a vast list of student clubs and organizations. From film clubs to math clubs, Johns Creek High School ensures there is an opportunity for students to take part in a club they enjoy. Also, Johns Creek offers award-winning Arts programs in orchestra, chorus, theatre, robotics and more!

Johns Creek High School also features high-level athletic programs. Both the boy’s swim and tennis teams were awarded State champions in 2023 while the girl’s soccer team became State champions in 2021.  

Academic Summary

Johns Creek High school ranks among the best public high schools in Fulton County due to its wide range of specialty programs and courses. According to US News, JCHS ranks 20th in the state on their Best Public High Schools in Georgia list.

JCHS offers 29 Advanced Placement (AP) courses in both the core curriculum and student electives. In the 2022-23 school year, 760 students took AP exams with 37% scoring a 5 on their exam! Johns Creek High School also offers 20 Honors courses in all core curriculum areas except social studies.
