About Autrey Mill Nature Preserve

The Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center is a 46-acre preserve in Johns Creek, Georgia on Autrey Mill Road near Old Alabama Road. The preserve is close to Newtown Park and consists of 3 miles of trails and is surrounded by heritage gardens, ravines, forest, and historic buildings. The Autrey Mill Nature Preserve provides a breathtaking venue for weddings, anniversary celebrations, receptions, and other special events! There are many different rental packages available so you can tailor your reservations to the special moment you wish to share with the preserve.

You can also join in on the fun with seasonal activities and events at the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center. Featured events include night hikes, preschool adventures, homeschool adventures, camps, socials, and historic building tours. If you are looking to be more involved, be sure to check out the educational experience of “Munchie Mondays” at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve. This process involves helping learn about and feed the animal ambassadors within the preserve. Visitors can stop by on select Mondays from September to December. There is a $12 fee for family members and $15 fee for non-members.

For groups 10 or more, please make a reservation if you plan on using the buildings or Pole Barn. Reservations can be made on the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center website.

  • Nature Grounds Hours: 8:00AM – 9:00PM
  • Visitor Center and Farm Museum: Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 AM-4:00 PM and Sundays 12:00 PM-4:00 PM
