Alpharetta’s Scarecrow Harvest Festival
Every fall in Downtown Alpharetta, the Scarecrow Harvest Festival features over 100 scarecrows designed by families, non-profits, local classrooms, and neighborhoods. The scarecrows will be present in Downtown Alpharetta from late September until Halloween. Scarecrow locations will be announced closer to the festival start date. There will be a map for visitors to take a self-guided walking tour to see the displayed scarecrows throughout Downtown Alpharetta.
Alpharetta Farmers Market
On Saturdays through November, be sure to check out the Alpharetta Farmers Market in Downtown Alpharetta from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The farmers market offers fresh local produce consisting of vegetables, fruits, and natural meats, and more! There are also gardeners selling fresh flowers and plants to those in attendance. Homemade goods such as jellies, baked goods, sauces, soaps, and candles are also available for purchase. This event is dog-friendly, but be sure your canine is on a leash. There is free parking available at 92 Milton Avenue and 1138 Park Plaza public parking garages. Street parking is also available close to the event. Come by on a Saturday morning to the Alpharetta Farmers Market to try new foods and engage with the Alpharetta community!
Pumpkin Patches in the Alpharetta Area
The Alpharetta area is filled with must-see pumpkin patches for the fall season!
Berry Patch Farms sits close to Alpharetta in Woodstock, Georgia. This farm has a 25-acre field dedicated to pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. There are picnic tables available on the pumpkin patch for guests to relax during their visit. This pumpkin patch will be open in October from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Admission is free, and pumpkins are $.50 per pound.
Scottsdale Farms is located on Birmingham Highway in Milton, which is just minutes away from Alpharetta. This farm offers pumpkins in all shapes and sizes, and the pumpkin patch is filled with a variety of pumpkins for carving and decorating.
Another pumpkin patch in the Alpharetta area is Burt’s Farm in Dawsonville, Georgia. This pumpkin farm will be reopening in September and offers about 20 different types of pumpkins. Burt’s Farm also sells baked goods including pumpkin pie, pumpkin rolls, and pumpkin bread.
Lastly, Uncle Shucks Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is one of the most popular pumpkin patches in the surrounding areas of Alpharetta. Uncle Shucks is located in Dawsonville, which is a short drive from Alpharetta. The pumpkin patch provides a large variety of pumpkins and is filled with fall decorations. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Uncle Shucks offers festival food including hot dogs, chicken tenders, funnel cakes, and more. Uncle Shucks also features a 15-acre corn maze, a tire mountain, wagon rides, a haunted trail, a bonfire, and other fun fall activities for all ages!
