King’s Ridge Christian School Overview
King’s Ridge Christian School is a Christ-centered, private school in Alpharetta, Georgia and serves about 800 students. Home to the Tigers, the King’s Ridge school colors are purple and yellow. A group of local families founded King’s Ridge in 2001 including Hall of Fame Atlanta Braves pitcher John Smoltz. When it was first introduced, the school had students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Now, King’s Ridge Christian School (KRCS) has its own campus and serves students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade!
KRCS offers competitive athletic programs, a wide range of student clubs and activities, and Christian life on campus. The school encourages its students to participate in mission trips and community service opportunities. King’s Ridge conducts mission trips to help students experience different cultures and connect with people through Christ.
Academic Summary
King’s Ridge Christian School highlights a 100% college acceptance rate among its students. The Class of 2025 featured 14 AP Scholars, 6 AP Scholars with Honors, and 14 Scholars with Distinction. The school also had high standardized test scores with a mean SAT score of 1270 and a mean ACT score of 24. With high test scores and numerous extracurricular activities on average, King’s Ridge Christian School students start preparing for college before they enter high school.
Students at KRCS start following a college application timeline in 8th Grade. Before starting high school, students meet with counselors to set their college goals and plan a strategic path to have the best chance for success in the college application process. Also, parents of King’s Ridge Christian School students meet with the college counselor to better understand how they can help prepare their student to take the next step into college.
King’s Ridge Christian School offers 23 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and students must receive recommendations to take AP and Honors classes. In 2024, King’s Ridge was recognized as a Platinum member to the AP School Honor Roll.
