Lake Windward Elementary School is a public elementary school in Alpharetta and is part of the Fulton County School System. The school’s mascot is the Wally Gator and has around 700 students. Lake Windward Elementary’s mission is to inspire confidence, spark curiosity, and build community. 

This school offers a variety of activities for its students including the The Y-Afterschool Care at Lake Windward, the Challenge Island STEAM program, and kids chess program. The Challenge Island STEAM program at Lake Windward Elementary School offers fun challenges for your child to participate in involving science, technology, engineering, arts, and math! This afterschool program takes place on Wednesdays from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The kids chess program occurs on Fridays from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

Lake Windward Elementary School feeds into Webb Bridge Middle School and Taylor Road Middle School.

School Hours

Normal school hours are from 7:40 AM to 2:20 PM. Student arrival begins at 7:10 AM.
