Situated in the heart of Alpharetta lies the historic Downtown Alpharetta center where you can find 1.72 square miles of the best shopping, dining, and entertainment Alpharetta has to offer! There are over 617 businesses located in the downtown area that include everything from restaurants, bars, specialty boutiques, fitness studios, sweet treats, coffee shops, a luxury hotel and more.
Outside of the commercial space, Downtown Alpharetta is also home to a few public Fulton County government facilities like the Alpharetta Town Hall, Alpharetta City Center, Innovation Academy, the Alpharetta Library, and Wills Park. This area prioritizes walkability, community, and entertainment, so you can grab a bite to eat/drink, shop, exercise, explore public amenities, and socialize with fellow members of your Alpharetta community! There is also a large greenspace nestled in the middle of the development that offers plenty of room for running around with the family and pets.
If you’re feeling tired, you can kick back in adirondack chairs or enjoy local cuisine at the picnic tables. Residential opportunities are also available with nearby luxury developments including: The Maxwell, The Foundry, and Teasley Place, offering upscale, modern townhomes and condos within walking distance to the downtown district.
Another amazing feature of Downtown Alpharetta is it’s always teeming with events to explore! You can catch the Alpharetta Farmers Market every Saturday from April to the end of November (8:30 AM-12:30 PM) which is held in the central greenspace at the Alpharetta City Center, in front of the Alpharetta Town Hall, and off of South Main Street. You can also enjoy live music and sample local cuisine from over 10 local food trucks during Alpharetta Food Truck Alley that is hosted here on the 4th Thursday of every month from April-October and lasts from (5:00 PM- 9:00 PM).
There are plenty more events hosted year-round, so make sure to check out our list of Alpharetta events for more information!
