Autrey Mill Middle School Overview

Autrey Mill Middle School is a public middle school within the Fulton County Schools District located in Johns Creek, Georgia. The mascot for the school is a Lion and their colors are Navy Blue, Gold, and White. Over 1,200 students currently attend the school with most being from the Johns Creek and Alpharetta area. The teacher-to-student ratio is 15:1 which makes the classroom environment intimate, engaging, and smaller than the average classroom size in the district.

Academic rigor is mixed with enriching programs called “Connection Classes” that give students opportunities to take courses not offered in the typical school curriculum. These programs (all listed below) seek to ignite hidden passions of the students and add another layer of educational development.

Autrey Mill Middle School maintains a high level of academic excellence and consistently ranks within the top 10 of all middle schools in Georgia. Due to the smaller class sizes, uniquely tailored educational approach, and “Connection Classes” offered, this school excels academically.

According to data from the U.S. News and Worldwide Report, 75% of students met or exceeded the level of proficiency for Math and 76% met or exceed the Reading level of proficiency. Autrey Mill Middle School ranked 10th in the state for both their exceptional Math and Reading scores as well.
