The Alpha Loop is a multi-use trail system that aims to connect Downtown Alpharetta, Avalon, Northwinds Summit, and North Point mall.
The Big Creek Greenway is a 12-foot wide path that stretches around 10 miles from Big Creek Park in Roswell to Union Hill Park. There are 2 sections of the trail.
North Park is an approximately 100-acre park located on Cogburn Road near Cambridge High School and King’s Ridge Christian School.
Cogburn Road Park is a six-acre passive park located on Cogburn Road. The park includes a .2 mile concrete pathway around greenspace, a playground, two picnic areas for family events, a Little Free Library, a piano, and an arboretum.
Fowler Park in Cumming, GA is a multi-use park located just outside of Alpharetta that consists of 85 acres of fields, trails, sports facilities, and many other indoor and outdoor amenities.
Rock Mill Park is located on Kimball Bridge Road and is part of the Alpharetta Greenway. This 20-acre park consists of a multi-purpose trail, a Play Me Again piano, a pavilion with picnic tables, a Little Free Library, and an outdoor classroom.
Brooke Street Park is a 5-acre park opened in 2016 and is located in Downtown Alpharetta behind the City Hall. Brooke Street Park’s arboretum includes a variety of springtime flowering trees for visitors to enjoy.
Thompson Street Park is a small park located on the Alpha Loop near Avalon.
Union Hill Park is an approximately 13 acre park located on Union Hill Road. The park features an outdoor skatepark and a concession stand.
Introduced in 2018, Old Rucker Park is approximately 10 acres of land and is home to a variety of plants and trees.
Bell Memorial Park is an active-use park in Milton Georgia, a short drive from Alpharetta. Located off Thompson Road, this park provides families, athletic programs, and all other visitors with a great place to stay active and interact with others!
Webb Bridge Park is an approximately 100-acre multi-use park with four baseball fields, a turf field, two tennis courts, six pickleball courts, a walking trail, three soccer fields, three picnic areas, a lake, and more exciting amenities!
Windward Community Park is a 3-acre park located on Windward Parkway right off McGinnis Ferry Road. This community park has been a part of the Alpharetta community since June 2020.

The Sawnee Mountain Preserve is located in Cumming Georgia and contains over 963 acres of beautiful land and educational amenities. There are 3 trail access points within this park where you can view the wildlife, explore, and witness the amazing views of the Indian Seats once you reach the top of the overlook.

Located just outside of Alpharetta, the Autrey Mill Preserve and Heritage Center is a 46-acre nature preserve in Johns Creek on Autrey Mill Road, just off Old Alabama Road.
This park is situated in Johns Creek around a 20-minute drive from Alpharetta. Cauley Creek Park is fairly new and was introduced to the Johns Creek community in Summer of 2023, so it is one of the newer additions to the parks and recreation near Alpharetta.
